Handyperson Scheme
Help is now available with odd jobs and small repairs around the home with Colchester Borough Homes’ Handy Person scheme.
The new scheme aims to provide a prompt and efficient service designed to enable people to have small repairs carried out by a skilled and friendly handyperson.
Anchor Trust manages the scheme on behalf of Colchester Borough Homes.
Any tenant or leaseholder aged 60 and over, living in a Colchester Borough Homes property can apply for help through the scheme with small jobs that Colchester Borough Homes isn’t responsible for such as putting up curtains and rails and replacing light bulbs or electric fuses.
The tenant will be asked to just pay for the cost of materials and a small charge for the handyperson’s time.
