How To Get Involved

Colchester Borough Homes is currently recruiting for tenants and leaseholders to be involved in its work.  There are a huge number of different options.  It’s not just about coming to a meeting – although there are plenty of meetings to choose from – you can be part of an email survey panel, become a mystery shopper, or be a member of the reading panel – there are at least 17 different ways to be involved in out work and if you don’t see what you are looking for – let us know and we will see if we can create an opportunity for you.  This is “Involvement – Your Way”

There are real benefits of being involved in our work including:

  • Making a valued contribution to existing and new service development – we listen to your views and ideas
  • Learning new skills – there is great training on offer – pitched at your level and totally free
  • Increasing your job and career chances – enhance your CV by getting involved – experiences where you can demonstrate you have learnt skills and abilities that employers are looking for – we’ll even give you a reference
  • Feeling good – being involved can lead to you meeting people, making friends and being part of a team of involved resident that individually and collectively make a massive difference to our work
  • Making your community a better place to live – by giving the tenant perspective you are making a positive contribution to the services we deliver

We pay expenses such as child care, travel and provide refreshments if you are working with us at a meeting or at an event.
