Protecting Vulnerable People
Abuse is a violation of an indivdual's human and civil rights by any other person or person. We have policies and procedures for dealing with any such matters. If you feel you are suffering from abuse then please report it. Abuse can include physical, sexual, emotional, financial, institutional or neglect.
You can get advice on protecting vulnerable people on the Essex County Council website. You can also dowload a form to report any suspicions of support you have. We will be happy to assist you in doing this but if you prefer to report it yourself then we are very happy for you to do this also.

Colchester Borough Homes are a member of Action on Elder Abuse.
If you have any concerns about abuse, we would encourage you to contact us to discuss these concerns. If you would prefer though Action on Elder Abuse have a helpline. Please call them on 0808 808 8141. They also have a website from which you can find futher advice and information.
