Helpline
Helpline is an emergency call-out service, 24 hours a day, every day of the year. It may help you keep your independence, but at the same time reassure you that there is always someone there to help out in an emergency. Apart from providing services to people living in their own homes, Helpline also support sheltered housing tenants when Scheme Managers are off duty. There is a charge for this service.
Please phone Helpline for more details on 769779. You will be able to talk to one of the control centre staff and, if you are interested, arrange a free demonstration in your home. Alternatively further information can be obtained from the Colchester Borough Council website.
When your Scheme Manager is off sick or on holiday you may also receive visits from Helpline Mobile Support Officers instead of another Scheme Manager.
