Make A Difference Day

Up to seventeen staff were involved in a day of neighbourhood improvements. The first “Make A Difference Day” was held on Thursday 16th October.
The roads targeted were Avon, Scarfe and Buffett Way and Wheeler and Woodcock Close in Greenstead. We removed large amounts of litter and rubbish, carried out re-painting work, and cut back where foliage was overgrown.
Before the event, we sent leaflets to all the residents, asking people to tell us what they felt the issues were, and giving them a chance to help out on the day. Assistant Housing Manager Barry Udale said the event was positively received by residents.
The next event is scheduled for November 2008.
