Britannia Court
Wivenhoe
Britannia Court, in the attractive village of Wivenhoe, was built in the 1950s and refurbished in the 1990s. The scheme is made up of 7 flatlets and 5 one-bedroom flats in a two-storey building with a lift between floors. Wivenhoe is well served by public transport with regular train and bus services to Clacton and Colchester town centre. The village has a lot to offer including a range of shops, a picturesque quay and woods nearby. If you take an active interest in community affairs Wivenhoe has its own Mayor and Town Council.

Communal Facilities
A door entry system is fitted at the main entrance of Britannia Court. This security feature enables you to identify any visitors before you allow them into the building. You can relax in your home knowing it is safe.
A car park offers convenient parking for tenants and their visitors. If friends or relatives wish to stay a fully furnished guest room is available. You can enjoy social and recreational activities in the lounge, which has its own kitchen. Older residents of Wivenhoe are welcome to join in with any of the social activities that take place there. Seating is provided in the small landscaped garden.
Britannia Court has two bathrooms, one on each floor. There is a bath in the first floor bathroom and a shower on the ground floor. Also on the ground floor there is a separate toilet that has been adapted for people with disabilities. A wellequipped laundry room and a drying area with rotary lines are provided at the scheme.
For your convenience a mobile hairdresser and a mobile grocery shop visit regularly. If you enjoy reading the mobile library calls monthly with a wide variety of books including large print.
A 24-hour alarm call system is fitted to all the properties in the scheme. This links you to the Scheme Manager or Helpline when the Scheme Manager is off duty. The alarm call system offers you the reassurance that help is always available if you need it.
Social Activities
As part of their professional service the Scheme Manager will arrange a programme of social events and outings in consultation with tenants. Whilst this is an opportunity to socialise and make new friends there is no pressure on you to take part in any of these activities.
