Communal Facilities
A door entry system is fitted at the main entrance to Abbeygate House. This security feature enables you to identify any visitors before you allow them into the building. You can relax in your home knowing it is safe.
A small car park at the front of the scheme offers limited parking for tenants and their visitors. If friends or relatives wish to stay a fully furnished guest room is available. You can enjoy social and recreational activities in the attractive lounge. If you enjoy gardening you may wish to join other tenants who volunteer to maintain the small communal garden.
Abbeygate House has three shower rooms and one bathroom. There are two shower rooms on the first floor and a bathroom and a shower room on the ground floor. A well-equipped laundry room and drying area are provided at the scheme.
For your convenience two mobile hairdressers and a grocer often call at the scheme. If you enjoy reading, the mobile library service calls regularly with a wide variety of books, including large print.
A 24-hour alarm call system is fitted to all the properties in the scheme. This links you to the Scheme Manager or Helpline when the Scheme Manager is off duty. The alarm call system offers you the reassurance that help is always available if you need it.
Social Activities
As part of their professional service the Scheme Manager will arrange a programme of social events and outings in consultation with tenants. Whilst this is an opportunity to socialise and make new friends there is no pressure on you to take part in any of these activities.
