Communal Facilities
A door entry system is fitted at the entrance of Joyce Brooks House. This security feature enables you to identify any visitors before you allow them into the building. You can relax in your home knowing it is safe.
A small car park offers limited parking for tenants and their visitors. If friends or relatives wish to stay a fully furnished guest room is available. You can enjoy social and recreational activities in the pleasant lounge, which has its own small kitchen. The large secluded garden which features a fishpond and water feature has recently been landscaped and is fully wheelchair accessible.
Joyce Brooks House has four bathrooms and a shower room with a walk-in shower. The scheme has a well-equipped laundry room and drying area with rotary lines. For your convenience various mobile shops call including a baker and a grocer. A hairdresser also visits regularly. If you enjoy reading the mobile library calls quarterly with a wide variety of books including large print.
A 24-hour alarm call system is fitted to all the properties in the scheme. This links you to the Scheme Manager or Helpline when the Scheme Manager is off duty. The alarm call system offers you the reassurance that help is always available if you need it.
Social Activities
As part of their professional service the Scheme Manager will arrange a programme of social events and outings in consultation with tenants. Whilst this is an opportunity to socialise and make new friends there is no pressure on you to take part in any of these activities.
