A door entry system is fitted at the main entrance of Grymes Dyke Court. This security feature enables you to identify any visitors before you allow them into the building. You can relax in your home knowing it is safe.

A small car park offers convenient parking for tenants and their visitors. Friends or relatives who wish to stay can use one of the two fully furnished guest flats. You can enjoy social and recreational activities in the spacious lounge, which has its own small kitchen. The separate hobbies room is equipped with a snooker table and dartboard. There is a fountain in the beautiful landscaped gardens, which are based on the theme “Five Senses for Four Seasons”.

Grymes Dyke Court is one of a few schemes where the bathroom has been fitted with a special bath. This means tenants with disabilities can enjoy bathing once again. There is also a shower room for tenants who need assistance with personal care. A well-equipped laundry room and a drying area with rotary lines are provided at the scheme.

For your convenience a mobile hairdresser calls fortnightly and uses the hairdressing salon at the scheme. The tenants at Grymes Dyke Court operate a minibus service using their own minibus and three times a week they open their own mobile grocery shop at the scheme. The Age Concern bus will call for shopping trips, if required. Each week the three main churches take it in turns to hold a service at the scheme, if you wish to take part.

A 24-hour alarm call system is fitted to all the properties in the scheme. This links you to the Scheme Manager or Helpline when the Scheme Manager is off duty. The alarm call system offers you the reassurance that help is always available if you need it.

Social Activities

As part of their professional service the Scheme Manager will arrange a programme of social events and outings in consultation with tenants. Whilst this is an opportunity to socialise and make new friends there is no pressure on you to take part in any of these activities.
