Handyperson Scheme

Help is now available with odd jobs and small repairs around the home with Colchester Borough Homes Handyperson scheme. 

Swan manages the scheme on behalf of Colchester Borough Homes.

How It Works

You have to be a Colchester Borough Homes tenant or leaseholder to book the Handyperson.

If you are sixty or over, then you will pay £7 per hour for the Handyperson. You will also have to pay the cost of any materials that are used.

If you are under sixty, you can still book the Handyperson, but the charge is higher at £10 at hour. Again, you will have to pay the cost of any materials that are used.

What Kind Of Jobs Will The Handyperson Do?

As a landlord there are range of jobs that Colchester Borough Homes is not responsible for. These include: putting up curtains and rails, replacing light bulbs and fuses, and home safety checks.

The Handyperson can do all these jobs for you.
