How to Pay
Payment Calendar 2011/2012
You can download the calendar here and use it as a handy reference of what you pay.
We offer a wide range of payment options. The choice is yours:
Pay by direct debit from your bank account. You can download a form and send it to us. Pay by debit or credit card over the phone on 01206 282725. You will need your eight digit account reference number. If you receive housing benefit or council tax benefit this can be paid directly to us or the Council. Call the housing benefit helpline on 01206 282600 or claim online at www.colchester.gov.uk/claim. Pay on-line via Colchester Borough Council's website (click on link and choose Housing Rent and Service Charges). Pay your rent at your Bank when you are paying your other bills. You can pay over the counter at the bank by either using their forms or by using the payment slips we provide which let you pay by cash even if you do not have a bank account. For details please telephone 01206 282725. Pay at any post office - this service is free but you will need a payment card. Phone 01206 282514 for more advice. Pay at a Payzone location if you have a Post Office Payment Card. Pay by post. Our address is: Colchester Borough Homes, PO Box 7888, Colchester, Essex CO3 3YB. Make your cheques or postal orders out to 'Colchester Borough Council'. We need your rent account or service charge account number on the back. Your housing rent account number begins with an 8. Do NOT send cash through the post.
