Blow The Whistle On Housing Cheats

Colchester Borough Homes is running a hard hitting campaign against cheats who illegal sublet their homes. The bus and poster campaign ties in with the World Cup, and asks people to “blow the whistle on housing cheats”.

Check out www.reporthousingfraudcolchester.net for all the details or click here to find out more about housing fraud.

If you want to report housing fraud you can call 01206 507071 or e-mail info@reporthousingfraudcolchester.net or you can fill in this form here.

Colchester Borough Homes has teamed up with other social landlords in the area to tackle the problem. These include Circle Anglia, Colne Housing, The Guinness Trust, Flagship Suffolk Housing, Family Mosaic, Estuary and Springboard. They are all taking part in the initiative to reduce the level of fraud.

Colchester Borough Council was given a grant of £10,000 to provide local initiatives against illegal subletting and Colchester Borough Homes is managing the project.
